Dear G.I.F.S. Community,

  Welcome to Gyeongnam International Foreign School.  The School is located in a country and city that seems to embody all aspects of global citizenry.  Sacheon, South Korea warmly welcomes people from all over the world to share in the riches of its country and its culture.  This nation also welcomes people from other countries to share the richness of their cultures.  What better environment can we have to pursue the goal of developing global citizens! 

  G.I.F.S. is also a setting where students and families from many diverse countries and cultures come together for something extremely important – the development of our students. This provides each of us with an opportunity to work together so all students will be able to work to their fullest potential.  It is our intention that G.I.F.S. will be a safe and secure environment where students can flourish.  Families should feel at ease that, amidst the turmoil of moving to a new country, their children will be looked after and that their family can become a part of an accepting school-community. 

 It is our intention at G.I.F.S. to provide an opportunity for students to be able to continue their education in a positive manner.  Students and parents should feel comfortable with the seamless entrance and exit to and from this school.  The flow of the students’ education continues not only in a manner comparable to that of the students’ home land but will also put the students in a position where their transition to any educational institution is enhanced.

 The focus of our school is on student growth.  Working together as a school community – putting the interest of the students first – should make the experience positive for all.
